Prakash Thirunavakarasu

Prakash Thirunavakarasu has an extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Prakash started their career in 1995 as a Tooling/Manufacturing Engineer at SMEA/SMEAV, where they worked until 1998. Prakash then joined Aviation Design Centre Malaysia as a Senior Design Engineer from 1998 to 2000. After that, they worked at SASCO Singapore as a Senior Structures Engineer from 2000 to 2004. Prakash then joined Dragon Airlines as a Senior Technical Services Engineer - Structures/Systems from 2004 to 2006. Prakash then joined Cathay Pacific Airways Engineering and worked as a Senior Aircraft Lease Return Program Engineer from 2006 to 2012. Following this, Prakash worked at CX as a Senior Aircraft Contract Engineer from 2012 to 2013. Prakash then moved to ILFC/AERCAP and held the position of Technical Director from 2013 to 2015. Currently, Prakash is working at AerCap as the VP Technical, starting from March 2015. Prakash has demonstrated expertise in various technical roles throughout their career.

Prakash Thirunavakarasu completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering at UTM between 1989 and 1994. Prakash then pursued a Master of Engineering in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, General at UTM from 1998 to 2000. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the professional engineering certification (PEng) in Malaysia in 2006. Prakash also obtained the MieAust certification from Australia in 2009 and the HKIE certification from Hong Kong in 2010.
