Naina Narain

Naina Narain has been working in the field since 2019. Naina began their career as a Tutor in the Linguistics department at the University of California, Davis. In 2020, they became a Lab Manager and Research Assistant at the UC Davis Center for Mind and Brain, where they designed a research poster for the UC Davis 32nd Undergraduate Research Conference and analyzed data from experiments for an in-progress research paper. Naina also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Davis, Phonetics Lab, where they conducted studies to analyze speech for Human-Computer Interaction research and created a research poster for the UC Davis 32nd Undergraduate Research Conference. In 2021, they became an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Davis, where they created accessible web-based resources to assist students in learning course material, lead personal office hours and assisted students in understanding course material, and designed and lead review sessions attended by up to 60 students. In 2021, they also took on a role as a Social Media Graphic Designer at Other Collective Media, where they designed infographics for Instagram posts using Canva Pro and created an illustration for a print issue using Photoshop and Procreate. Finally, in 2022, they became a Social Media Manager at Aerendir Mobile Inc., where they produced content for and posted on Twitter and LinkedIn media accounts, monitored industry trends daily, tracked content involving the company and direct messages, and communicated with potential clients, business partners and PR teams through email and mailers.

Naina Narain received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Cognitive Science and Linguistics from the University of California, Davis in 2022. Prior to that, they completed concurrent enrollment at West Valley College from 2016 to 2018.
