Mihai Atofanei, PMP

Mihai Atofanei, PMP, is an experienced professional with a diverse background in sales, business development, project management, and geospatial consulting. Mihai began their career in 2009 as a Landman/Seismic Surveyor at TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd., where they successfully identified well site positions, negotiated lease agreements, and oversaw the permit process. Mihai later served as a Survey Crew Manager at the same company before moving on to Polaris Seismic International Ltd., where they worked as a Survey Manager Contractor. In 2015, Mihai joined Drone Engineering Consult as a Geospatial Consultant, assisting clients with geospatial solutions. Mihai then joined Land Surveys in 2017, initially as a Project Manager and later as an Instrumentation and Monitoring Manager. At Stantec, starting in 2021, Mihai served as a Business Development Manager, tendering for and delivering multimillion-dollar projects. Currently, they are employed at Aerologix as the Head of Sales APAC, responsible for developing sales strategies and maximizing opportunities in key markets.

Mihai Atofanei, PMP, completed their education at the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University Iasi from 2005 to 2009. Mihai majored in Geodetic Engineering with a focus on Geodesy.

Mihai Atofanei has also obtained several additional certifications. In January 2021, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Prior to that, in December 2020, they completed the PMP Certification Training Course from Udemy. In September 2020, they acquired certifications in Learning Microsoft Project, Matterport 3D Scanning and Visualization, Project Management Foundations: Schedules, and FARO Scene 3D Laser Scan Registration, all from LinkedIn. In August 2020, they completed the Revit 2019: Essential Training for Architecture (Metric) course from LinkedIn. In June 2017, they obtained the Preparing Data for the 3D City Information Model certification from Esri. In May 2017, they completed the ESRI CityEngine Essentials 3: All about Rules course, and in April 2017, they acquired certifications in Controlling Data Translation Using Extract, Transform and Load Processes and Transforming Data Using Extract, Transform, and Load Processes, all from Esri. In March 2011, they obtained the ArcGis-Desktop 10 certification from Esri. Additionally, in January 2011, they completed the Bulletproof Manager certification from the Institute of Leadership and Management in Education (InLaME), and in July 2017, they obtained the IELTS Certification from the British Council Bucharest.
