Laurent GERBE

Laurent GERBE has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry.

Laurent is currently the Head of Engineering at Aerospacelab since September 2022.

From December 2021 to October 2022, they worked as a Co-Founder at Apogee Orbital Services.

Prior to that, from July 2019 to September 2022, they served as a Launcher Architect at ArianeGroup, where they also held the position of System Engineer from March 2017 to June 2019. During their time at ArianeGroup, they co-invented a concept for an innovative design of a vehicle dedicated to deploying payloads in orbit and filed a patent in 2019.

From October 2015 to March 2017, they worked as the Propulsion Branch Leader for the Sparrow project at Airbus Safran Launchers. Additionally, they were the Head of Project at Airbus Safran Launchers from October 2012 to October 2015.

From April 2010 to October 2012, they served as the P80 Solid Propulsion Rocket Motor Thrust Vector Control Design Manager at SNECMA PROPULSION SOLIDE.

From April 2005 to April 2010, they held the position of P80 Solid Propulsion Rocket Motor Design Manager at EUROPROPULSION SA, where they were responsible for the design of the first stage of the VEGA Launcher. Laurent successfully conducted firing tests in 2007 and witnessed the first launch in 2012.

Lastly, from September 2005 to March 2007, they worked as a Solid Propulsion Rocket Motor Designer at SNECMA PROPULSION SOLIDE.

Laurent GERBE completed a System Engineering Qualification in 2018 at SEQ 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Diplôme d'ingénieur from Ecole centrale de Lyon in 2005.
