Bogdan Pugach is a Machine Learning and Autonomy Engineer at AeroVironment since July 2017, where Bogdan serves as the technical lead for autonomous Unmanned Aerial Systems focused on humanitarian aid initiatives, including the development of the Advanced Target Recognition (AVATR) system. Prior experience includes a role as a Combat Systems Engineering Intern at Naval Surface Warfare Center from May 2016 to June 2017, where Bogdan contributed to software development for automated data reduction, enhancing cost-efficiency. Earlier, in 2015, Bogdan interned at NASA, prototyping the PRADNTL-M aircraft and developing a sensor for servo movement detection in a Martian atmosphere. Bogdan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and an Associate's degree from American River College in Mathematics, Physics, Fire Technology, and Social Sciences.
