Karsten Steinhaeuser

Karsten Steinhaeuser, PhD, currently serves as the Sr. Director of Program Management for Learning & Active Perception (LEAP) at AeroVironment since February 2021, having previously held the position of Director in the same department. Prior to AeroVironment, Karsten worked at Progeny Systems as a Software Engineer in Data Sciences from December 2012 to February 2021. Karsten’s academic career includes roles as a Research Associate at the University of Minnesota and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, as well as attaining a PhD in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, where Karsten also completed a Master's and Bachelor's degree with summa cum laude honors.
