Karen Greenbaum

Karen Greenbaum is the CEO of AESC. Karen has over 20 years of experience in law, consulting, and management.

Karen started their career as a lawyer, working at Nixon Peabody LLP from 2007 to 2011. Karen then transitioned into management, serving as the Chief Operating Officer of the firm. In this role, they oversaw the day-to-day operations of the firm and was responsible for its strategic planning and growth.

From 2012 to 2014, Karen was a partner and practice leader at Pierce Consulting Partners. In this role, they advised clients on how to improve their businesses.

In 2014, Karen joined Civic Consulting Alliance as a Senior Advisor. At Civic Consulting Alliance, they worked with government, philanthropy, and business leaders to solve complex problems facing cities.

Karen joined Mercer in 2004 as its President and Chief Operating Officer. At Mercer, they were responsible for the company’s growth and expansion. During their tenure, Mercer more than doubled in size and became one of the world’s leading consulting firms.

In 2013, Karen joined the Board of Directors of FJ Management. Karen served as an independent board member and chaired the Audit and Compensation Committee.

Karen has a long track record of success in law, consulting, and management. Her experience and insights have helped their clients anticipate and capture opportunities, prepare for and manage risks, and forecast and overcome obstacles.

Karen Greenbaum has a MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Baltimore. Karen also participated in the Women's Director Development Program at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
