Naz Shabir

Naz Shabir has a diverse work experience in various legal roles. Naz started their career as an Asset Management Assistant at Irwin Mitchell in 2012 and later became an Investment Administrator. In 2014, Naz worked as a Trainee Solicitor at Taylor&Emmet LLP Solicitors, rotating through different seats focused on Commercial Litigation, Corporate & Commercial, and Commercial Property.

In 2016, they worked as a Corporate Recovery and Insolvency Solicitor at Howes Percival Solicitors, specializing in asset recovery and assisting on bankruptcy orders. At the same time, they also worked part-time as a Solicitor and Site Manager at Thurnscoe Business Centre, negotiating leases and managing tenant matters.

In 2017, Naz became a Legal Counsel at AESSEAL, an in-house solicitor responsible for contract matters, legal tenders, and reviewing general terms and conditions. Naz was later promoted to Legal Director in 2020 and is now responsible for the global legal function and development of the business.

Before their legal career, Naz owned and managed their own commercial property management and rental business called Naz Properties from 2009 to 2017.

Naz Shabir earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law from The University of Sheffield from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2009, they completed A Levels at Thomas Rotherham College. In 2012, Naz Shabir pursued a Legal Practice Course at The University of Sheffield, which they completed in 2014. From 2014 to 2015, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Corporate & Social Responsibility from The University of Sheffield.

More recently, in 2021, Naz Shabir obtained a Master's degree in Professional Certificate of Competency in Mechanical Engineering from the Engineering Institute of Technology. Prior to their higher education, Naz Shabir attended Oakwood Technology College from 2002 to 2007, but the specific degree or field of study during this period is unknown.
