Katherine R.

Katherine R. has a diverse range of work experience in environmental and sustainability roles. Katherine is currently working at AET Group Inc. as a GHG Sustainability Project Manager, a position they started in July 2022. Prior to this, Katherine worked at Standard Carbon as a GHG Reporting Analyst from October 2021 to July 2022.

Before joining Standard Carbon, Katherine was an Environmental Specialist at ABC Technologies from November 2019 to July 2021. In this role, they managed and analyzed environmental/sustainability data and reported to governing, customers, and voluntary agencies. Katherine also coordinated and supported the implementation of environmental compliance and monitoring programs.

In 2019, Katherine was a Waste Management Project Coordination Intern at Niagara Region from February to November. And in 2016, they worked as a Summer Student in the Sustainability Office at the University of Guelph. In this role, they evaluated and improved various sustainability programs and collaborated with the sustainability team to operate recycling and composting programs on campus. Katherine also advocated for on-campus sustainability initiatives to improve student knowledge on recycling and composting programs.

Katherine R. completed their education at the University of Guelph from 2014 to 2018, earning an Honours Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering. After their undergraduate studies, they obtained their Engineer In Training certification from Professional Engineers Ontario in January 2019. In June 2021, Katherine obtained certification in Standard First Aid, CPR and AED from St. John Ambulance Canada | Ambulance Saint-Jean. Most recently, in January 2022, they acquired the ISO 14063-3 GHG Verification & Validation certification from the Standards Council of Canada (SCC).
