Johan Munir

Johan Munir is the current Global Director of Corporate Strategy & Planning and Joint Venture Management at AET. Prior to this, they were the CFO of AET from March 2013 to October 2020. Johan has also held various other positions at companies such as MISC Berhad, PETRONAS, and VTTI B.V.

Munir began their career in 1996 as an Executive in Group Finance at PETRONAS. Johan then moved to MISC Berhad in 1998, first as Head of Group Treasury and then as GM of Planning & Projects Chemical Business. In 2006, they became Head of Finance for upstream overseas operations at Petronas Carigali.

In 2010, Munir became COO of VTTI B.V., and then GM of Netherlands in 2012. Johan left VTTI in 2013 to join AET as their CFO. Johan has been with AET ever since, and was promoted to their current role in 2020.

Johan Munir has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Management Science from the University of Kent. Johan also has A-Levels from Bryanston School and SPM (O-levels) from Sultan Abdul Halim School.

Johan Munir reports to Rajalingam Subramaniam, President & CEO. They work with Robert Sullivan - Global Director, Legal (General Counsel), Linda Murray - Global Director, Human Resources & Facilities, and Winnie Cruz-Ding - Global Director, Finance.
