Tarika Hanawalt

Tarika Hanawalt has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Tarika is currently serving as the Director of the Project Management Office at Aethon Aerial since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at Aethon Aerial from August 2021 to December 2022.

Before joining Aethon Aerial, Tarika worked at Quantum Spatial as a Project Manager from March 2018 to August 2021. Tarika was responsible for overseeing a successful portfolio of remote-sensing electrical utilities projects, assisting clients in implementing vegetation management programs. Additionally, they provided LiDAR-based solutions to identify vegetation clearance threats. Tarika also served as the Team Lead at Quantum Spatial from October 2015 to February 2018, managing a team of 18 individuals specialized in processing and analysis of remote-sensing data.

Tarika's career began with their role as a Remote-Sensing Analyst at Quantum Spatial from May 2012 to December 2015. Tarika also volunteered as a Water Quality Monitor at Columbia Riverkeeper from May 2012 to August 2015. Furthermore, they worked as a Remote-Sensing Technician at WSI (Watershed Sciences, Inc.) from September 2011 to May 2012. Lastly, Tarika started their career as an Engineering Intern at the City of Portland Water Bureau from August 2007 to February 2009.

Tarika Hanawalt completed their education in a sequential manner, starting with Portland Community College from 2005 to 2008. During this time, they earned an engineering transfer degree with a focus on civil engineering. Tarika then pursued further education at Portland State University from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering.

In addition to their degrees, Tarika Hanawalt also obtained two certifications. Tarika received their Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification from the State of Oregon in April 2012. Later, in December 2017, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
