Justin Goldman

Justin Goldman is a seasoned editorial professional with extensive experience in travel media and copy editing. Currently a Freelance Editor at Afar since October 2024, Justin is responsible for assigning and editing digital packages focused on Charleston, S.C. From August 2013 to August 2024, Justin held the position of Deputy Editor at Ink, overseeing editorial processes for Hemispheres and Rhapsody, in addition to managing production and freelancer coordination. Previous roles include Editor in Chief of THE NATIONAL aboard Amtrak, Managing Editor for inflight publications at United Airlines, and Copy Editor at Geotext Translations. Justin's editorial career began with positions at Diablo Magazine, where contributions included interviews with prominent figures, and earlier experience in academia as the Director of the Writing Center at Mills College. Justin earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Mills College and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from UC Santa Barbara.
