Greg Baher

Greg Baher has a diverse work experience in the heavy construction and equipment industry. Greg is currently the Director of Operations at AFD Petroleum Ltd. Starting in 2017, Greg worked at Whissell Contracting Ltd., first as the Director of Equipment and then as the Vice President of Equipment, where they were responsible for asset management, supply chain, and transportation teams. Prior to that, they served as the National Fleet/Equipment Manager at QM Environmental from 2015 to 2017 and as the Director-Heavy Equipment at Tervita from 2013 to 2015. Greg also worked at Whissell Contracting Calgary Ltd. as an Equipment Manager, overseeing the management of various fleets and landfill teams. Before that, they had roles at Teck Resources Limited as a Maintenance Planner/Foreman and Heavy Duty Mechanic/Lead Hand. Greg's career started as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Whissell Contracting Calgary Ltd., Imperial Oil, and Teck Resources Limited.

Greg Baher obtained a Grade 12 diploma from Sparwood Secondary in 1984. Greg then pursued a degree in Automotive Apprentice at the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 1985 to 1987. In 1998, they began their Heavy Dury technician journey as a Heavy Duty apprentice 1st year at Thompson Rivers University, which lasted until 1999. From 1999 to 2001, Greg studied Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technology/Technician at the College of New Caledonia. Greg also attended Malispina University College in 2001, specializing in Heavy/Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technologies. Additionally, Greg completed a Fire Fighter Instructor degree in Fire Services Administration at Justice Institute from 1999 to 2002. Greg has an additional certification as a "Swana Manager of Landfill Operations," but information regarding the institution and year of acquisition is unavailable.
