Cecilia Mills has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Cecilia started their career as a volunteer at The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis in 2010. Cecilia then worked as a Legislative Fellow at the National Alliance to End Homelessness in 2011, conducting research on homelessness statistics and building partnerships with organizations and government agencies. In 2011, they also served as an Outreach Specialist at the Border Trade Alliance, acting as a liaison between staff, government officials, and community affiliates, and planning high-profile events to promote local and international trade interests.

In 2012, Cecilia became the Assistant-Lead Canvasser at Equality California, managing and training their canvassing team and conducting surveys for the Reducing Disparities Project. Cecilia then joined Business Matchmaking Inc. in 2013 as the Director of Communications, coordinating multi-state events and marketing conferences and workshops to support minority business owners.

From 2014 to 2016, Cecilia worked at the Progressive Change Campaign Committee as an Executive Assistant, responsible for scheduling meetings and ensuring organizational goals were met. Concurrently, they served as a Research Associate at the National Association of Counties, overseeing research projects and co-authoring policy papers on county management and financial reporting.

In 2016, Cecilia joined StateScape as an Associate Analyst, monitoring legislative developments and providing legal analysis for private corporations and advocacy organizations. After this, they worked as a Client Solutions Specialist at Cushman & Wakefield from 2017 to 2021, assisting potential clients with their commercial real estate needs and building custom brokerage teams.

Currently, Cecilia is working at Affect Therapeutics as a Community Partnerships Associate, where they develop substance-specific programs and ensures the accessibility and convenience of their treatment options through digital platforms.

Cecilia Mills obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Clemson University. Cecilia studied at the university from 2005 to 2009.
