Azila Hizam

Azila Hizam has extensive experience in the banking industry, with a focus on cash management, corporate banking, and sales and marketing. Azila has held various positions of increasing responsibility at several major banks.

Starting in 1996, Azila worked at Standard Chartered Bank as a Customer Service Manager, where they serviced a portfolio of large corporate customers and contributed to cross-selling opportunities. Azila later became a Relationship Manager, managing and servicing a portfolio of SME clients, and consistently meeting annual sales targets.

In 2004, Azila joined Maybank as an Assistant Vice President and then later as the Head of Sales and Marketing for Cash Management in the Business Banking division. Azila played a crucial role in implementing strategic plans for acquisition and product diversification, leading to higher fee-based income.

From 2010 to 2016, Azila worked at RHB Banking Group as the Vice President and Head of Payments and Cash Management, where they formulated and implemented business strategies for Cash Management products and Electronic Channel solutions. Azila also developed annual budgets and plans, demonstrating leadership in problem-solving approaches.

Most recently, Azila held the position of First Vice President and Head of Liquidity and Supply Chain at Affin Bank Berhad. Azila'sresponsibilities included developing strategies, objectives, and financial budgets for the Transaction Banking Business, with a portfolio covering Cash Management, Corporate Deposits, and Trade Finance.

Azila Hizam completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Management Control from Sheffield Hallam University between 1994 and 1996. Prior to that, they pursued a First Year Degree Program in Business Administration and Management at Kolej Pengajian Tinggi MARA, Northern Consortium United Kingdom (NCUK), Cheras, KL from 1993 to 1994. Azila also completed a GCE A-Level Program in Accounting and Business at the Centre of Preparatory Studies, Shah Alam from 1991 to 1993. Azila's secondary education was undertaken at Sri Aman Secondary Girls School where they completed their SPM in the field of Art/Art Studies from 1986 to 1990.
