Leonid Nji

Group Head, Research at AFH

Leonid Nji is a Group Head of Research at AFH. Prior to this, they were the Head of Collectives Investment Research at AFH Wealth Management from March 2014 to October 2015. In this role, Leonid led the collectives research team responsible for fund manager research, asset allocation and portfolio construction. The team worked closely with portfolio managers to generate insightful investment research for the firm and was also responsible for communicating the firm’s investment strategy to investment consultants and clients.

Prior to joining AFH Wealth Management, Leonid worked as a Multi Asset Investment Strategist at Legal & General from July 2011 to February 2013. In this role, they were responsible for the development and implementation of strategic asset allocation and multi-asset investment strategy across different sub funds within Legal and General’s With Profits fund. Leonid also had responsibility for global tactical asset allocation and monthly market reviews, as well as producing papers on thematic investment issues.

Leonid started their career at Legal & General as a Multi Asset Investment Analyst in March 2009, before being promoted to Multi Asset Investment Strategist in July 2011.

Leonid Nji has a background in economics and quantitative methods from the University of Yaounde. Leonid then pursued an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of Leicester. After working in the financial industry for a few years, they decided to go back to school and completed the Global Investment Risk Management Programme at Oxford University - Said Business School. Leonid is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has an Investment Management Certificate (IMC) from CFA Society UK.

Leonid Nji reports to Alan Hudson, CEO. They are on a team with Jon Sturgess - Group Financial Controller, Michael Easton - Head of Investment Operations, and Austin Broad - Group Head, Advice.
