Komal Hassamal is a seasoned professional in climate finance and energy with extensive experience in various roles across international organizations. Currently serving as a Fellow Member at the Mauritius Institute of Directors and a Regional Technical Specialist at UNDP, Komal covers the energy portfolio for francophone Africa. As a Senior Advisor at TrustWorks Global, expertise is utilized to foster responsible practices in fragile and conflict-affected settings. In the role of Senior Climate Finance Expert at the African Development Bank, Komal is instrumental in designing initiatives like the Green Mobility Facility for Africa, mobilizing significant financial resources. Previously, Komal held various positions at UNDP, contributing to multiple climate finance initiatives, and has demonstrated a commitment to enhancing sustainable development through a strong educational background, including an MBA in International Economics, Finance, and Management from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.
