Mohamed Karsan has extensive experience in entrepreneurship, advisory roles, and business development. Currently serving as part of ALU Ventures at The African Leadership University, Karsan has led significant initiatives, including managing the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Entrepreneurship Fund and launching various entrepreneurial incubators and accelerators. Karsan is also a co-founder and business development leader at Visual Aided Stories, an advisory board member at Karsan Company Ltd, and co-founder and chief strategy officer of EarthMates, which successfully matched investors with African startups. Previous roles include project consultant for the Latin American Leadership Academy, business development manager at FreezeCrowd, and consulting with IBM, among others. Karsan possesses a strong educational background with degrees in Economics and Entrepreneurial Studies from prestigious institutions, including the School of Management at Fudan University and the University of Rochester, along with a high school diploma from the African Leadership Academy.
