Eshetu Girma Kidane

Eshetu Girma Kidane is a seasoned professional in public health with extensive experience in research and leadership. Currently serving as a Research Scientist at the African Population and Health Research Center since August 2024, Eshetu also holds the position of President at the Ethiopian Health Education and Promotion Professionals Association since December 2021. Additionally, Eshetu is the founder and lead of the Behavioral Health Research and Design (BIRD) Lab at the School of Public Health, Addis Ababa University, and has been a Project Manager at the College of Health Sciences, Addis Ababa University, since July 2022. Contributing to academia, Eshetu has served as an Associate Professor at Addis Ababa University since September 2014. Eshetu holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in International Public Health/International Health from the Center for International Health, Ludwig Maximilians University.
