Edwin Tambara

Edwin Tambara serves as the Director of Global Leadership and Director of External Affairs at the African Wildlife Foundation since July 2013, where responsibilities include representing the organization in North America, developing strategies to garner support for AWF’s initiatives, and engaging with various stakeholders, including the US Government and Multilateral Agencies. Prior experience includes leading strategy development and impact analysis as Manager of Strategy & Impact Analysis, and managing conservation initiatives as a Conservation Planner. Edwin Tambara has academic credentials including an MBA from The African Leadership University, a fellowship in Market Based Approaches for Conservation, as well as an MPhil and BSc in Ecology and Conservation from the University of Zimbabwe. Previous research experience was gained at the Tropical Resource Ecology Programme.
