Cyril Assem

Cyril Assem has a diverse range of work experience starting in 2013. Cyril began their career as a Social Media Intern at Sunset African Tours GH Ltd and later worked as a Project Intern at Key Architectural Group. In 2015, they served as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the Government of Ghana, specifically in the Ministry of Roads & Highways. Cyril then transitioned to the private sector, joining Sunset African Tours GH Ltd as a Client Relations Associate. Cyril later moved to UBA Ghana Limited, where they held roles as a Relationship Officer in Retail and as a Relationship Manager in Commercial. In 2021, Cyril became a Business Development Manager at Akka Kappa Ltd before taking on their current role as Head of Programs & Stakeholder Engagement at AFS Intercultural Programs in 2022.

Cyril Assem has a diverse educational background. Cyril started their education at Presbyterian Boys' Senior High School in Legon, where they obtained their High School Diploma in General Science in the year 2011. Following this, they attended Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi from 2011 to 2015, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree.

In 2017, Cyril attended the Cambridge Center of Excellence, where they completed a Project Management Professional® program. Cyril further enhanced their skills by obtaining certifications in Customer Relationship Management, Trade Finance, and Treasury Management from UBA Ghana Limited in April 2019.

Looking to advance their career, Cyril joined the University of Ghana in 2021 and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA with a focus on Marketing. Cyril'sexpected completion date for the degree is in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Cyril has also obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. Cyril attended the Weltwaerts Partner Conference in 2023, organized by AFS Interkulturelle Begegnungen e.V., and completed the Foundations of Intercultural Learning and Global Competence program offered by AFS Intercultural Programs in October 2022. These certifications showcase their commitment to personal and professional growth.
