Andreea Dobrescu

Andreea Dobrescu is a fermentation scientist currently employed at Again since December 2021, where the focus is on converting CO₂ into carbon-negative chemicals using advanced biotechnological methods. Previously, Andreea served as a research assistant at Terranol A/S from July 2019 to June 2021, gaining extensive experience in 2G bioethanol fermentations, HPLC sample analysis, and yeast propagation protocols. Andreea commenced professional development as a student assistant, enhancing knowledge in yeast physiology and handling genetically engineered microorganisms. Earlier work experience includes a role as a front office receptionist at Radisson, which helped develop customer service and communication skills. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Sustainable Biotechnology and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Aalborg University, complemented by an exchange semester in Biology at The University of Waikato and a high school diploma in Natural Sciences.
