Biao Qiu

Biao Qiu, PhD, P.E., P.Eng., is a principal at Agapito Associates, Inc. since March 2022, specializing in resource and reserve estimation for various minerals and overseeing engineering design for mining projects. Key activities include rock mechanics, numerical modeling, ground stability analysis, and solution mine optimization. Previously, Biao Qiu held several positions at Agapito Associates, including Senior Associate and Senior Mining Engineer, and briefly worked as a Senior Associate at RESPEC. Biao Qiu earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Mining and Mineral Engineering from West Virginia University between 2009 and 2013.
