Fermentation Research Lead at AgBiome

Miroslav Sedlak has extensive experience in fermentation research and optimization. Miroslav worked as the Fermentation Research Lead at AgBiome starting in 2018. Prior to that, they were a Scientist IV at Archer Daniels Midland Company from 2015 to 2017. From 2013 to 2015, Sedlak served as the Chief Scientist at Green Tech America, Inc, where they led the development of yeast strains and optimization of fermentation processes for ethanol production and enzyme co-products. Sedlak also has a strong academic background, having worked at Purdue University as a Research Assistant Professor, Graduate Faculty, Senior Research Scientist, and Postdoctoral Research Associate from 1993 to 2013. Their research focused on improving the ability of Saccharomyces cerevisiae to produce fuels and chemicals from renewable resources through systems biology and metabolic engineering.

Miroslav Sedlak holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Academy of Science, Institute of Microbiology. Miroslav also attended VSCHT, although the degree and field of study are unspecified.
