Ngango Rugema

Ngango Rugema, PhD, is an experienced scientist specializing in upstream process development and cell line development within the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist in Upstream PD at AGC Biologics since March 2023, Ngango previously held similar roles at Shattuck Labs and Ology Bioservices, Inc., where leadership in generating commercial-scale processes and expertise in bioreactor operation were demonstrated. Ngango's academic background includes a PhD in Biochemistry and Structural Biology from Purdue University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from California Baptist University. Both academic and professional experiences include training junior scientists, optimizing protein characterization techniques, and conducting significant research in molecular interactions and cell line development.
