Scott Efird has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Scott started their career as a Coop Engineer at Duke Energy in 1993 before moving on to roles at Graybar Electric and Baxter Healthcare, where they managed the implementation of capital expansion projects.

Scott then joined Covidien as an Electrical Group Manager, overseeing daily maintenance activities and managing the capital budget for engineering projects. At GSK, they served as a Sr. Electrical Engineer and later as a Facility Maintenance Manager, where they implemented metrics to measure maintenance performance and improved preventative maintenance rates.

Scott then worked at Patheon as a Site Maintenance and Utilities Manager, managing maintenance and utilities for a large pharmaceutical site. Scott later joined Par Pharmaceutical as a Sr. Manager Site Engineering, where they were a member of the Site Leadership Team and developed a technical training program for maintenance technicians.

At Novartis, Scott served as the Director of Engineering, managing engineering functions for multiple facilities. Finally, they joined AGC Biologics, first as a Vice President of Engineering, where they successfully established the Global Engineering function. Scott then became the Global Vice President of Engineering, responsible for managing critical capital projects, capacity expansion, facility maintenance, and engineering compliance.

Throughout their career, Scott has achieved significant accomplishments, including implementing major construction projects, establishing global engineering standards, resolving observations, developing governance processes, and improving maintenance performance.

Scott Efird earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where they studied from 1991 to 1996. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Central Cabarrus High School from 1987 to 1991, earning a diploma.
