Emma Dunford

Emma Dunford has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Emma'smost recent role is as the Head of Operational Risk at Ageas UK since July 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Finance, Investment, and Audit Committee at Mare and Foal Sanctuary starting from February 2022.

Emma also worked at Abri Group as the Head of Risk and Assurance from February 2021 to June 2023. Before that, they were a Risk Manager at NATS from July 2019 to January 2021.

Additionally, Emma has extensive experience at LV=, where they held various positions including GI Claims and Financial Crime Risk Manager, Business Standards Controller, Third Party Claims Manager, Personal Injury Team Leader, Personal Injury Claims Consultant, Liability Officer, and Motor Claims Consultant. Emma was employed at LV= from 2006 to 2019.

Emma began their career as a Travel Consultant at Bath Travel from December 2003 to February 2006.

Emma Dunford, CMIRM, has a diverse education history. Emma earned a Postgraduate Certificate in History from The University of Edinburgh in 2018-2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from The Open University in 2011-2017. Additionally, they completed the International Diploma in Enterprise Risk Management from The Institute of Risk Management between 2016 and 2019. Emma also holds various certifications, including Carbon Literacy from The Carbon Literacy Project in 2022, and Climate Change Risk Management from Imperial College London in 2021. Emma is a Certified Risk Professional from the Institute of Risk Management, with additional certifications in risk management, technology, and business. Emma also received an RCA Analyst Level 1 certification from Sologic - Root Cause Analysis (EMEA) in 2017.
