SUMMARY Agile Defense is seeking a Defense Business Development Director. The successful candidate will report to the Defense Growth Lead and be responsible for driving capture processes in concert with strategic business unit (SBU) leads and other stakeholders within the Growth division to include proposal managers, marketing analysts and solution architects. This position will lead pre-proposal shaping activities, orchestrate capture activities during the proposal phase and post-submittal activities, and be responsible for leading opportunities that are at least $50-100M+ in total contract value and drive them towards a high win probability.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, execute, and drive winning capture strategies for assigned opportunities, including both new work and re-compete contracts. Develop and validate win themes, solution development, competitive assessments, teaming strategy, pricing strategy recommendations (based on a price to win and other competitive assessments), communications plans, action plans and execution plans. Manage the effective execution of capture pursuits, tracking performance to cost and schedule, and communicating status to leadership. Bring together and facilitate meetings with both internal solutions architects and external organizations (e.g., teaming and technology partners) to coordinate highly effective solutioning. Shape opportunities and improve our position throughout the opportunity lifecycle. Formulate and support the communication and implementation of an integrated business development, capture and proposal strategy that clearly highlights our value proposition and discriminators and provides customers a clear and defensible justification for selecting Agile Defense for award. Work closely with the assigned proposal manager to support the RFP, RFQ, Task Order or RFI response. These activities may include but are not limited to providing writing support, color reviews, attending or leading meetings, and creating and managing Sell/B&P budgets. Meet with customers to gather requirements and work with internal solutions architects to help kickstart solution efforts. Lead and negotiate teaming agreements and strategic alliances. Represent Agile Defense at conferences and meetings mostly in and around the Greater Washington DC Metro area. Some travel may be required outside of DC but within CONUS (est. 10%). Brief senior executives, up to and including members of the C-Suite.
