Sam Rowland

Sam Rowland has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Customer Quality Engineering Intern at Western Digital, followed by a Marketing Intern role at the same company in 2010. In 2011, they served as an International Product Marketing Intern at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc.

From 2012 to 2013, Sam worked as an Analyst & Operations Coordinator at US International Media. Sam then joined Spectrum Brands as a Financial Analyst from 2013 to 2014. Subsequently, they took on the role of Financial Consolidation Analyst at Billabong from 2014 to 2016.

Sam's next position was at SCAN Health Plan, where they served as a Sr. Financial Analyst, FP&A from 2016 to 2017. During this time, they led SG&A modeling for the 2018 Centers for Medicare and Medicaid bid cycle and collaborated with department leaders on P&L oversight.

In 2018, Sam joined Kaiser Permanente as a Sr. Lead Analyst, National Pharmacy Finance, where they led financial forecasting for clinically administered drugs with a focus on vaccines and oncology.

From 2019 to 2021, Sam worked at agilon health, first as a Manager, FP&A, where they led corporate FP&A responsibilities and spearheaded automation efforts for financial reporting. Sam was then promoted to Director, FP&A, where they standardized management reporting and optimized financial systems.

Their most recent role is Sr. Director, Finance at agilon health, where they are the Integration Lead for a healthcare technology company acquisition. Sam manages the integration efforts across all domains and leads the pre-close, close, and integration phases.

Sam Rowland pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics and Sociology from UC Irvine, from 2007 to 2011. Currently, Sam is enrolled at UCLA Anderson School of Management, pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA), which will be completed in 2023.
