Ben Fisher

Ben Fisher is the current Head of Data Science at Agio. Prior to this, they were a Customer Facing Data Scientist at DataRobot from December 2019 to February 2021. Before that, they were the Head of Data Science at Verisk Maplecroft from December 2015 to November 2019, where they developed a data science and engineering team, outlined vision for the team, handled hiring, and developed core capabilities. Ben also lead development of data science consulting projects and internal data science products with a focus on NLP, text classification, and entity extraction. From June 2015 to September 2015, Ben was an Analytics Intern at Verisk Analytics, where they developed statistical models for forecasting the risk of maritime piracy at both a national level and a subnational level with a focus on Southeast Asia. Prior to that, they were a Statistical Consultant at Leidos from June 2014 to February 2015.

Ben Fisher earned a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from The University of Alabama. Ben then went on to earn a Master's degree in Political Science from Penn State University. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Political Science from Penn State University.
