Dr. Elliot Zeisel

Dr. Elliot Zeisel is a distinguished psychoanalyst and educator with extensive experience in the field of psychotherapy. Serving as a Distinguished Fellow at the American Group Psychotherapy Association since February 2013, Dr. Zeisel also holds faculty positions at both the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies and the Center for Group Studies. With a private psychotherapy practice established in 1975, Dr. Zeisel specializes in group psychoanalysis. Previous leadership roles include Vice Chair at the Group Foundation for Advancing Mental Health - AGPA and Clinical Member at AGPA. Dr. Zeisel obtained a PhD in Psychoanalysis from Union Institute & University, certification in Psychoanalysis from the Philadelphia School Psychoanalysis, an MSW in Casework from Yeshiva University, and a BA in Economics from Yeshiva University.
