Kristin Malmcrona Friberg has a diverse work experience across various organizations. Kristin is currently serving as a PHD Candidate at KTH Royal Institute of Technology / Stockholm Resilience Centre, where they are involved in the research program MISTRA Sports and Outdoors, focusing on the sustainable use of land and water. Kristin has also worked as a Community Manager and Mentor at Ågrenska Foundation, a National Research and Competence Centre for rare diseases. In addition, they have served as a Speaker Coach for TEDxGöteborg and TEDxPrague, working closely with the TEDx Organization to find, invite, and coach speakers for their events.

Furthermore, they have held the position of Business Developer/Talent Manager Scandinavia at Techloop.io, where they bridged the gap between the head office in Prague and the Stockholm office. Kristin has experience in the field of research as well. Kristin worked as a Research Associate at the University of Exeter, focusing on barriers and enablers to implementing sustainable and circular solutions in urban food systems. Kristin also co-founded Circular Economy Wageningen, a student organization that fostered collaboration between researchers, industry, and students at Wageningen University & Research.

Additionally, Kristin has participated in various workshops and projects related to environmental sustainability, youth engagement, diversity, and gender equality. Kristin has also worked as a Project Assistant in Public Health and Sustainable Urban Development at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, participating in data collection and analysis for a cohort study on teenagers' mental and physical health.

Lastly, Kristin completed an internship at the Public Health Committee Secretariat at Västra Götalandsregionen, where they conducted an analysis of the connections between social sustainability and health inequality in the city of Gothenburg. Kristin gained a deeper understanding of working with strategic issues and the impact of social sustainability in sustainable urban development.

Kristin Malmcrona Friberg began their education journey in 2013 with exchange studies in Development Economics and International Development at Universidad Mayor de San Andrés. In 2014, they enrolled at the University of Gothenburg and earned their Bachelor's degree in Global and Development Studies in 2017.

In pursuit of a Master's degree, Kristin attended SLU - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences from 2014 to 2017. Kristin specialized in Sustainable Urban Management during this time. As an Erasmus Scholarship holder, they also had the opportunity to study Environmental Urban Management at Wageningen University & Research for a year in 2015 and 2016.

Currently, Kristin is further advancing their education at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they are enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD program in Environmental Science. This program commenced in 2021 and is expected to conclude in 2023.
