Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative educational technologies. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has contributed to the design and development of hardware and firmware for innovative DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Prior to this role, Chris worked as an electronics contractor at the Science Alberta Foundation, focusing on electronics design for educational devices, and as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, where responsibilities included circuit design and software development for forestry control systems. Additionally, experience as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary provided a foundation in educational support within the engineering curriculum. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
