Alessandro Basso

Alessandro Basso has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Alessandro started their career as an IT Consultant at Advanced System Projects S.p.A., where they focused on network design and firewall solutions. Later, they worked as a Web developer and system integrator at Certimeter s.r.l., designing and implementing web applications and secure online poll management solutions. Additionally, they gained experience as a Research Assistant and Software Developer at the Computer Science Department of the Università degli Studi di Torino, where they worked on projects related to web and mobile security, digital watermarking, and information processing. Alessandro then joined Emporos Systems Corporation, where they held roles as a Software Engineer and Senior Systems Architect. During their time at Emporos, they developed and implemented innovative solutions for web and mobile applications, ensuring compliance with security standards and conducting system analysis for vulnerability identification. Currently, they are working at Ahold Delhaize as a Senior Software Engineer and Principal Software Engineer, leading development-related activities and designing mobile applications using native and hybrid technologies.

Alessandro Basso holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in Computer and Network Security from the Università degli Studi di Torino. Alessandro also obtained an MSc and BSc in Computer Science with a focus on Networks and Distributed Systems from the same university. In addition, Alessandro holds certifications as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance, obtained in 2017, and an Information Engineer Certification from the Italian Engineering Board, obtained in 2008.
