Maurits Priem has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Maurits started their career at HJ Heinz in 1997, where they held various commercial and management positions until 2012. During their time at HJ Heinz, they also served as the Business Unit Director for Foodservice Benelux and CSR Lead Benelux. From 2013 to 2018, Maurits worked at Essity, first as the Commercial Director for Benelux and later as the Regional Strategy Director for Central Europe. In 2018, they joined Scoupy as the Managing Director for Sanoma FMCG/Scoupy, where they helped grow the company to become the Netherlands' second-largest marketing and activation platform in the FMCG industry. Currently, Maurits is working at Ahold Delhaize, where they hold the position of VP Albert Heijn Retail Media Services and leads the Europe & Indonesia Monetisation team, focusing on unlocking media and insights to generate complementary business income streams.

Maurits Priem obtained their Master's degree in International Management from Maastricht University between 1994 and 1996. Prior to that, from 1991 to 1994, they pursued their undergraduate studies in Business Administration at Nyenrode Business University. Maurits'ssecondary education was completed at Gertrudis Lyceum Roosendaal from 1984 to 1991, where they obtained a VWO+ (extra course) certificate.
