Carl Mayes

Carl Mayes, CPA has a extensive work experience in the field of accounting and auditing. Carl started their career in Schneider Downs as an Audit In-Charge from September 2006 to November 2008. Later, they joined Hughes Pittman & Gupton LLP and worked as an Audit In-Charge from November 2008 to August 2010. Currently, they are working for the AICPA as the Vice President - Audit & Accounting Quality, where they are responsible for leading various initiatives to promote quality improvement in the public interest and drive member satisfaction and growth.

Carl Mayes, CPA holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting from Duquesne University. Carl obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in 2009 from the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners. In 2022, they obtained the Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership.
