James Vaughan is an experienced professional in football and coaching psychology, currently serving as the Head of Football and Coaching Psychology & Research Coordinator & Coach at AIK Fotboll since March 2017. As a co-founder of the Player Development Project, James focuses on bridging the gap between theory and practice in player development. Previously, James held various coaching and managerial roles, including positions at the Football Federation Victoria and New Zealand Football, where contributions were made to player education and development programs. James has an extensive academic background, holding a PhD in Sports Coaching and a Master's in developing creative football players from the University of Queensland, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, and Coaching from the University of Otago.
