Marc Tomlinson has extensive work experience in various leadership and managerial roles. Marc began their career as a Contracting Officer at the Canadian Commercial Corporation, where they focused on matching Canadian firms with viable US Government contracts. Marc then joined NATO, where they served as a Contracting Officer and Chief of the Materiel Management Centre, implementing innovative business models and streamlining procurement processes. After their time at NATO, Marc worked as a Programme Manager at Gevity, directing health informatics projects. Marc then joined CGI as a Senior Management Consultant, facilitating collaboration between Alberta Health and Alberta Health Services. Marc later transitioned to the public sector, serving as a Director for the City of Edmonton, overseeing contract management, continuous improvement, and the execution of major annexation projects. Most recently, Marc has held senior positions at Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), leading business relationship management, global business services, and procurement. Throughout their career, Marc has demonstrated a commitment to innovation, efficiency, and mentorship.
Marc Tomlinson received an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from Wilfrid Laurier University, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Additionally, they obtained certifications including ITIL Foundation V3 from Loyalist Certification Services in 2013, PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner from APMG-International in October 2008, and a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner certification from Prosci.
