Zheng Liu

Zheng Liu is a highly experienced Principal Scientist with a strong background in biopharmaceutical development, particularly in potency assay design and validation. Currently at Aimmune Therapeutics since March 2021, Zheng Liu leads the potency assay development for allergy programs and provides subject matter expertise for troubleshooting and regulatory filings. Previous roles include Senior Principal Scientist at ImaginAb, focusing on the in vitro evaluation of radiopharmaceuticals, and Principal Scientist at Atara Biotherapeutics, where the development of cell-based bioassays supported allogeneic T cell therapy. Zheng Liu has extensive experience from Agensys, Inc. in leading bioassay teams for antibody-drug conjugate projects, establishing a cGMP-compliant testing lab, and authoring numerous qualification protocols. The career also includes significant contributions to cancer immunotherapies at MannKind Corporation. Zheng Liu holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Southern California and a Master's degree in Medicinal Chemistry from The University of Toledo.
