Umair Shafique

Umair Shafique has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles.

Umair started their career at MOL Group as an Intern Engineer in the Electrical and Instrumentation Department.

Umair then worked as a Design Engineer at KSB Pumps Company Limited, where they handled engineering and order processing activities for industrial pumps.

Umair joined Nestlé as an Engineer Trainee, where they received training in various aspects of industrial performance. Umair later became a Project Engineer, handling the introduction of new fixed assets into the company. Umair eventually became a Plant Maintenance Manager, leading a team and managing a maintenance budget.

Umair co-founded Cropmatix, a venture focused on developing a soil sensor-based farm management system. Umair handled business operations, investor readiness, and product validation, among other responsibilities.

Umair Shafique's education history begins with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Pakistan. Umair completed this program from 2005 to 2009.

In 2015, they obtained a certification in Design Thinking from the Hasso Plattner Institute. In 2018, they became a Certified UX Designer, acquiring this credential from the Nielsen Norman Group. Recently, in 2022, Umair obtained a certification in Behavioural Design: Create Engaging Products with Behavioural Science from The Interaction Design Foundation.
