Alexander Phillips (Zanka)

Alexander Phillips is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as the Training and Standards Manager (Flight Operations) at Air Vanuatu since May 2023. Responsibilities include crew training, competency assessments, compliance with CAAV regulations, safety risk management, and liaising with regulators and other stakeholders. Additionally, Alexander has a comprehensive background as an Airline Captain on Boeing 737-NG and 737-MAX aircraft across various airlines, including Fiji Airways, Regional Express, Shenzhen Airlines, and Pacific Airlines. With expertise in graphic design, Alexander has contributed to enhancing flight operations training through visually impactful materials. Educational qualifications include an Integrated Course of Flying from Flight Training Adelaide and a Diploma in Graphic Design from TAFE NSW, complemented by certificates in Threat and Error Management and Human Factors in Aviation Safety from the University of Southern California.
