Alejandro Castillo Pardo currently serves as an Engine Performance R&T Engineer at Airbus since September 2023. Prior to this role, Alejandro was a Senior Research Associate at the University of Cambridge's Whittle Laboratory, collaborating closely with Rolls-Royce plc on highly integrated fan systems and advanced experimental techniques for testing. Alejandro's earlier experience includes serving as a Research Associate at the same institution, where the focus remained on fan system design and testing. Alejandro completed a PhD at Cranfield University, specializing in the aeroelastic performance of rotorcraft systems, and also holds advanced degrees in aerospace propulsion and aeronautical engineering. Early engineering experience includes an internship at Safran Engineering Services, where Alejandro worked on simulations for journal bearings.
