Justin Sangbeom Ryu

Justin Sangbeom Ryu has over 13 years of professional experience in the field of firmware and embedded software engineering. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Firmware Engineer at Airity Technologies. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Firmware Engineer at SolarEdge Technologies from 2017 to 2021. During this time, they developed interrupt driven real time firmware in C on Analog Devices ARM Cortex M4 processor for power electronics products and wrote device drivers for ADC, UART, PWM, RS-232, RS-485, and SPI. Justin Sangbeom also implemented closed loop and open loop control systems. From 2012 to 2017, they worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Empower Micro Systems Inc. and an Embedded Firmware Engineer at GreenVolts. From 2008 to 2012, they were a Firmware Engineer at Schneider Electric, where they developed firmware for three phase solar inverter (100kW to 680kW) in C on Renesas HD64F7055F 32-bit RISC processor, firmware for Front panel in C on NXP(Philips) P89V664 8051 16-bit processor, and firmware for wireless communication between inverter and laptop computer. Justin Sangbeom also supported legacy code bases for TI DSP processors and implemented current monitoring firmware for ICP-DAS I-7088 using 80188 processor. In 2007, they held an internship as a Software Engineer at Clear-View Technology.

Justin Sangbeom Ryu attended Dong-A University from 1997 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Engineering. Justin Sangbeom then attended San Jose State University from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a Master of Science in Computer Engineering.
