Sourabh Kakade

Mechanical Engineer at Airity Technologies

Sourabh Kakade has four years of work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Mechanical Engineer for Airity Technologies. From 2020 to 2022, they were a Graduate Assistant at the University of Florida, where they assisted with experiments to find CHF of a system running at sub-ambient pressure for energy-efficient data center cooling and designed a pool boiling experiment. Sourabh also served as a Teaching Assistant. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Project Intern at METALEMMS (BOMBAY) PVT LTD, where they designed and developed an industrial tray dryer for bakery products and researched existing tray dryers and methods to optimize it. Sourabh also ran simulations on the designed tray dryer using CAE software to analyze and optimize the design. In 2018, they were a Summer Intern at AUTOLINE DESIGN SOFTWARE LIMITED, where they studied stamping process and effect of stamping on different materials, ran simulations of HyperWorks for CAE of sheet metal products, and assisted with electric cycle development.

Sourabh Kakade obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai between 2015 and 2019. Sourabh then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida, which they are expected to complete in 2021. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Responsible Conduct of Research for Engineers from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY in December 2020, Python for Students from LinkedIn in February 2020, SOLIDWORKS: Simulation for Finite Element Analysis from LinkedIn in February 2020, Advanced MATLAB for Scientific Computing from Stanford University in December 2018, and An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python from Coursera in August 2017.
