So, with that in mind, we are looking for a new Engineering Manager (Site Reliability Engineering) to join our team of go-getters and realise the full value of their skills!

What you'll do:

  • Lead and nurture a motivated, collaborative, and results-oriented team
  • Empower and inspire team members to take ownership of their development and career advancement
  • Collaborate with CTO, EMs and other stakeholders to ensure a steadfast dedication to quality for production systems
  • Drive a culture that embraces data-driven decision-making for production system changes and incident management
  • Collaborate with SRE Engineers to establish operational service roadmaps aligned with the reference architecture
  • Cultivate a culture of problem-solving through innovative thinking
  • Challenge existing practices and drive improvements to SRE processes and tools.
  • Implement structured engineering and operations processes
  • Ensure proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables

What it takes to be successful in the role:

  • 4+ years of hands-on management experience in leading high performing engineering teams
  • Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, including proficiency in utilising compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring tools
  • Proven track record in project governance, process enhancement, and implementing SRE methodologies at scale
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in guiding technical teams within a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in deploying, managing, and optimising AWS infrastructure and applications to meet business objectives efficiently
  • Experience managing Kubernetes or other containerised platforms at scale
  • Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems development, including distributed systems concepts and API development
  • Strong design and problem-solving skills with a focus on engineering excellence, quality, security, and performance
  • Demonstrated ability to build, operationalise, and maintain highly scalable systems
  • Deep understanding of Site Reliability principles and best practices
  • Experience with retrieving, analysing, and visualising observability metrics and logs
  • Proficiency with Ruby, Kotlin, Python, Bash and/or Terraform
