So, with that in mind, we are looking for a new Financial Accountant to join our team of go-getters and realise the full value of their skills!

What you'll do:

  • Month-end close activities, including preparing journals, balance sheet reconciliations, review of the profit and loss statement and variance analysis
  • Assist in the regulatory compliance processes including tax matters and financial statements
  • Support the development of a best-in-class reporting and compliance function, proactively identifying and delivering on improvement opportunities in both financial reporting and compliance in order to achieve efficiencies and minimise risk
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and insightful management reports for senior executives and the Board of Directors
  • Support process enhancement and automation initiatives with the aim to improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial information output
  • Support the analysis and resolution of complex financial and accounting matters, including revenue recognition
  • Establish, refine and document finance policies and procedures

What it takes to be successful in this role:

  • CA qualified
  • 2-3 years post qualification experience, preferably working in or with fast growth small-medium sized companies
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and application of AASB/IFRS and corporate governance requirements
  • Month-end experience including preparing P&L analysis, general journals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Dedication to continuous improvement, including research and adoption of new tools and systems to improve accuracy and automation
  • Highly detail-oriented with a preparedness to question the status quo
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Curiosity and a burning desire to understand what makes things tick
  • Highly collaborative with proven ownership of results
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
