Join us at Airtasker, an ASX-listed company, where you'll play a pivotal role in our Reporting and Compliance team. You'll be tasked with elevating our global reporting and compliance functions, building robust infrastructure to support our international growth and strengthening financial controls through innovative systems and processes.

You'll optimise the production of precise financial insights, driving strategic decision-making and making a tangible impact on a global scale. If you're passionate about finance, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to shape the future of reporting and compliance, we want you on our team!

What you'll do:

  • Month-end close activities, including preparing journals, balance sheet reconciliations, review of the profit and loss statement and variance analysis
  • Manage process and policies around fixed assets, leave provisions and leasing arrangements
  • Responsible for maintaining of sales invoice registers and associated account reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory compliance submissions including quarterly ASX reporting, financial statements and liaising with external auditors
  • Support process enhancement and automation initiatives with the aim to improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial information output

  • CA or CPA part-qualified or completed
  • 2+ years of experience in either professional services firm or fast growth small-medium sized company
  • Sound technical accounting knowledge and application of AASB/IFRS
  • Month-end experience including preparing general journals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Microsoft Excel experience essential and experience with Oracle Netsuite ideal
  • Highly collaborative with proven ownership of results
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to learn new concepts and technology quickly
  • Dedication to continuous improvement with a passion for process optimisation
  • Can adapt in changing and fast paced environments
