Ian Ferrao

Ian Ferrao is currently the Regional Director for the East Africa Region responsible for the P&L for the East Africa region (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia and Rwanda). He is part of the Africa Executive Committee and is accountable for the profitable growth of our East Africa businesses, driving Airtel to be the preferred telecom brand and preferred partner to grow financial inclusion.

Ian has spent over 12 years leading Telecom organizations in Africa, both as an entrepreneur and a corporate CEO, including being the CEO at Vodacom Tanzania PLC, the CEO at Vodacom Lesotho and Chief Commercial Officer at Vodacom Business Africa.

He holds a First Class Honours Degree in BSc Management Sciences from the Warwick Business School.
