Head Corporate Sales at Airtel Uganda

Geraldine Opoka has had a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Geraldine began their career in 2002 as an SME Account Manager at MTN Uganda, where they were responsible for managing small and medium-sized business accounts. Geraldine then moved on to become a Corporate Account Manager, focusing on developing strategies to win new business and grow existing accounts within the corporate arena. In this role, they also supported the credit management team to ensure timely payment for services delivered. Geraldine then served as a Retention Manager, where they focused on driving customer retention and revenue growth through various initiatives such as creating an end-to-end customer experience blueprint, establishing an outbound telesales team, and launching a successful loyalty points program. Following their time at MTN Uganda, they worked as a Sales Manager at Broadband Company Ltd for a short period before joining Airtel Uganda as the Head of Corporate Sales in 2012.

Geraldine Opoka has a strong background in business administration and marketing. Geraldine first attended King's College Budo from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a specialization in marketing. Building on this foundation, they further pursued their education at Makerere University from 1996 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a focus on marketing.
