Ershad Ahamed

Ershad Ahamed is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in financial services and technology. Currently serving as General Manager for Southeast Asia and India at Airwallex since March 2025, Ershad enables small and medium-sized businesses and enterprises in the region with innovative financial infrastructure. Previously, Ershad held multiple leadership roles at Grab from January 2018 to February 2025, including Managing Director of Payments Acquiring, overseeing merchant acquiring and lending. As Managing Director of Payments & Lending for Grab Finance Indonesia, Ershad managed P&L, drove profitability, and secured significant partnerships. In earlier positions, Ershad led global initiatives at Rakuten and served as a management consultant at Ipsos Business Consulting, as well as an Assistant Brand Manager for Gillette at Procter & Gamble. Ershad holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore, along with a minor in Technology Entrepreneurship from Stanford University.
